When I was choosing a name for my practice, I wanted something that reflected the kind of therapy I offer and the kind of space I hope to create for people. The name Mountain Creek Counselling captures two forces that are both essential to healing: steadiness and flow.


The Symbolism of Mountains
Mountains symbolize strength, perspective, and grounding. When we stand on a mountain, we can see farther. We gain a wider view of the landscape around us. In therapy, this is often what people are seeking — a place to step back from the immediacy of life’s struggles and begin to understand them with greater clarity.
